Leading Building Materials Pty Ltd is a Brisbane-based company specializing in building material supply and install.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced person to fill our construction materials assistant role. The ideal candidate will use their specific knowledge about construction materials and Australia standards to help and educate our internal and external customers and effectively sell these products.
Responsibilities include: - Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships, act as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues.
- Coordinate sales of building materials by monitoring product and delivery needs.
- Ability to estimate from blueprints, use a calculator and computer.
- Review, analyse and clarify quote packages from suppliers and service providers.
- Prepare and review sales quotation as required.
- Partner with vendors to improve communication and education to customers about products.
- Provide solutions to customer relating to building material procurement, distribution and application.
Ideal candidate shall possess: - Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience
- Willing to know working knowledge of building materials codes, industry and products and Australia standards
- Sufficient in the use of CAD program
- strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to work closely with builders, general contractors and architects
- Teamwork spirit and willing-to-learning attitude
- Hardworking, open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
- Punctual, reliable and strong commitment to work
- Chinese speaking is preferred
